What this site does not do
jasoncanale.com does not currently use analytics, advertising, behavioral tracking, accounts, forms, comments, or any other way for visitors to submit personal data.
Hosting
The site is hosted on Vercel. Visiting a page means Vercel receives the technical request data needed to deliver that page, such as the requested address, IP address, date and time, and browser information. This site’s code does not add analytics or profiling on top of that.
Content
Sanity is the content management system. This site’s server requests published content from Sanity. Visitors’ browsers do not call the Sanity content API directly. If a work image is shown, the browser may request that file from Sanity’s image CDN.
Theme preference
The color theme control can store a preference in your browser’s localStorage under the key jasoncanale-theme. That value is not a cookie. It stays on your device and is not submitted to this site as an account or profile. Details are on the cookie and storage page.
External images and links
Some pages may show favicons or social-preview images discovered from other websites. When those files appear, the browser requests them from the hosts that serve them.
Links that leave jasoncanale.com — including journal.jasoncanale.com and the sites listed on the Sites page — are subject to the destination site’s own privacy practices.
Retention
The theme preference remains in your browser until you clear site data for this origin. This application does not store visitor accounts or submitted personal data.
Your rights
